Proses Mitosis (Apa yang perlu murid tahu)

 Profasa

•  Kromosom tersusun secara rawak.
• Kromosom menebal dan memendek.
• Gentian gelendung mula terbentuk. 

 Metafasa

• Gentian gelendung terhasil oleh sentriol untuk memegang kromosom.
• Kromosom tersusun pada satah khatulistiwa.

Anafasa

• Kromosom terpisah pada sentromer dan bergerak ke kutub bertentangan.

Telofasa

• Kromatid atau kromosom tunggal terhasil.
• Dua sel anak terhasil apabila proses sitokinesis (pembelahan sitoplasma)

Osmosis in picture

I am trying to illustrate the concept of osmosis particularly to visualize the potato strip when its immersed into two types of solutions.

Based on the picture above, we can see the right one represent the condition after the potato strip immersed into the hypotonic solution such as distilled water. Water of distilled water will diffuse into the potato cell from cutting area. Consequently, the size of cell increase. The cell now is in turgid condition. That is why we can see the 'stomach comes forward' and full of water in the body.

Meanwhile, we can see the left one represent the condition after the potato strip immersed into the hypertonic solution such as sucrose solution 15% and above. Water of the potato strip will diffuse into the surrounding from cutting area. Consequently, the size of cell decrease. The cell now is in flaccid condition. That is why we can see the 'stomach comes backward' and less of water in the body.
