Revision of Chapter 2: Cell Structure and Cell Organisation

  • Nucleus- Nucleolus/ Crhomosomes: contains DNA materials and genes to control the genetic information and control all activities in the cell.
  • Rough ER- involve in transporting of Protein
  • Ribosomes- attaches at the wall of Rough ER by synthesising the proteins.
  • Smooth ER- synthesis of Lipids.
  • Golgi apparatus- Processing, Packaging and Transporting the Proteins, Carbohydrates, Glycoproteins and Phospholipids out of the cell.
  • Mitochondrion- generate energy through respiration process.
  • Cytoplasm- biochemical reaction takes palce.
  • Plasma Membrane- allow some substances to diffuse in or out.
  • Centrioles- form spindle fibre during cell division.
  • Lysosome- contains of Lysozyme enzyme to breakdown the damaged cell.
