Rhesus

Explain why the first child who is Rh-positive survive but the second child who is also Rh-positive does not survive.

Small amount of the fetus blood with antigen Rh leak/ enter/ mix into the mother’s blood
(Stimulates/ trigger) the production of antibody (anti-Rhesus in the mother’s blood)
The antibody (anti- Rhesus) diffuse into the foetal’s blood
Causing agglutination/ haemolysis of the foetal red blood// cell in small quantity
During second pregnancy (second child with Rh-positive).
The small  amount of fetus blood leak/ enter/ mix into the mothers blood
Trigger more antibody (anti-rhesus) to be released from the mother’s blood
The antibody diffuses into the foetus blood
Causing (more) haemolysis of foetal red blood cell
